Maya Abdominal Therapy brings together bodywork, traditional remedies, herbal knowledge and spiritual healing to support the restoration of the body and being to a state of wholeness - where the chu’lel (a Maya word for life force energy) can flow freely.

What to expect during a session:

After a thorough intake to get an evaluation of history, you will be guided to lie on the massage table underneath the draping. Your chest will be covered and your abdomen and belly will be undraped. Oil is applied and various massage massage techniques are performed to soften tissue restrictions, aid in digestion, and to assess the position of the pelvis. After the front of your body is massaged, the therapist will have you lie on your stomach, while the posterior treatment continues on your low back, hips, and glutes. 

People feel more relaxed, calm, and emotionally centered and balanced during and after a treatment. Many report improved digestion, less bloating, less discomfort with uterine and ovarian issues, and overall improved sense of self and well-being.

Initial Intake is 90 minutes: 30 minutes to go over health history and intentions and 1 hour massage) and the cost is $200

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that uses light pressure to induce stillpoints along the head, neck, and along the spine to redirect the flow of cerebrospinal fluid to areas of the body that need it. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve discomfort and dysfunction. Many people report feeling much lighter and more spacious in their bodies, with less tension and looser muscles. Folks with chronic illness experience less flare-ups when receiving craniosacral therapy regularly. It is a beneficial modality to receive for those undergoing chemotherapy or cancer treatments.

Chronic pain and long term health imbalances that don't respond well to medical treatments are often a result of unresolved trauma.  Traumatic events occur in a person's life, and they may not be equipped with the skills or tools at the time to work through the full impact that the incident had on them.
